1. Overview
polyment (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the AI tutoring platform available at nexus-proto.vercel.app(the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. This is stored securely via Supabase.
Conversation content. Messages you send to the AI tutor and the tutor's responses are stored to maintain lesson continuity. This content is transmitted to Anthropic (Claude) to generate responses and to OpenAI to produce spoken audio.
Usage data. We track lesson progress, completion status, assessment results, and monthly AI message counts to power your dashboard and enforce plan limits.
Payment information. Subscription and billing details are handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment instrument data on our servers. We receive limited metadata from Stripe (subscription tier, status, renewal date) to manage your access level.
Technical data. We may collect basic technical information (browser type, device type, IP address) for security, error tracking, and abuse prevention purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- To personalize your learning experience and track progress
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To send account-related emails (password resets, billing receipts)
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to train AI models.
4. Third-Party Services
We share data with the following third parties only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:
- Anthropic — receives conversation messages to generate AI tutor responses. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
- OpenAI — receives text content to generate spoken audio. Subject to OpenAI's privacy policy.
- Supabase — hosts our database and authentication. Data is stored in the US.
- Stripe — handles all payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosts the application. Subject to Vercel's privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data and lesson history for as long as your account is active. Conversation content for individual lessons may be cleared when you restart a lesson. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Export your data in a portable format

7. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you authenticated. We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
