1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using polyment (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You may not create accounts on behalf of another person without their permission, or use automated means to create accounts.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
polyment offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Standard and Pro). Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle.
Refunds. We offer a 14-day refund window from the date of initial purchase. Refunds are not available for renewal charges. To request a refund within the window, contact us at support@polynewton.com.
Price changes.We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent subscription limits or access controls
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service or its AI responses for commercial use
- Use automated tools to send messages to the AI tutor at scale
- Harass, impersonate, or harm other users
- Introduce malware, viruses, or disruptive code
- Share your account credentials with others
6. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses AI systems (including Anthropic's Claude) to generate educational content. While we aim for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. polyment is a learning aid and should not be used as a sole authoritative source for academic, professional, or safety-critical decisions.
You retain ownership of any content you submit. By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the Service.
7. Intellectual Property
The polyment name, logo, course curriculum structure, and platform design are our intellectual property. The AI-generated lesson content is provided for your personal educational use only and may not be reproduced, redistributed, or sold without our written permission.
8. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We are not liable for losses resulting from Service unavailability.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MENTAT ACADEMY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by prominently posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States.
